(00:00) Remarks about some comments and Danny Jones
Dan McClellan is using a source lexicon that was created by a specific group with specific agendas. And their words will be created with specific agendas in mind. What do you do as a translator? You notice that bias, and go to the sources from the lens they were in at the time, and for that you examine literature from that time. He is parroting mideval dark age crappery.
Lucian (135-180CE) - Alexander the false prophet
a book about Lestes, gives historical context for that passage in Mark 14:51 where Jesus says "why are you coming at me like some kind of Lestes" while a naked kid runs away.
Gospels (70-125CE) - so Lucian's work is relevant, representing the word meaning at that time, see Lestes. (Hint: Lestes does not mean revolutionary)
Was in the same region
Lucian was a Syrian, who ends up in Egypt. That's exactly surrounding Judea. (32:21)
Ammon's translation: "and I counsel you to go to the marketplace to pick yourself up gold that's been purified in the fire so that you may be rich, and while you're there pick up a white gown and throw it upon your nakedness. you ought to buy a 'κολλούριον' (kollourion) and enchrist your eyes, in order that you may see"
That's the medicine - the medicine and salvation are the same, its a medical term
ἐγχρῆσαι - εγχρί (egchri) - root is χρί (chri), which defines χριω (chrio)
for that stinging, the stuff you're putting in your eyes. We're at the rite, the first thing they're doing to you, they made you drink something and to be honest it's calming you down. But now they're putting stuff in your eyes and it burns like hell, and it's purple.
We've seen the anointing as in the application of the drug, look at term II. "ἰὸς ἐγχρισθείς" You're christing yourself with poison. That word "ἰὸς" is also the word for arrow and snake venom.
"Tò Kένтρον" - that's the thorn. And when Paul is doing his thing... (trailed off)
The Septuagint is the oldest form of the text. Any Hebrew copies that came later after the 1st century, those copies are not originals, but copies from Greek. A pathetic attempt at translating from a language that had become a monstrous beauty. Hebrew was not the technically savvy language, Greek is.
Galen challenged the greatest mind in medicine in his day, in public debates, and wiped the floor with them. He brought a new science and changed medicine in a way that it would stay changed for centuries. He gave Marcus Aurelius his compound Theriac, the same thing Jesus was taking when he was arrested in a public park with a naked kid at 4am. (Mark 14:51)
Let's get to Paul, because it's going to get dirty...
Christing is taking place in one of the oldest recorded oracles. It says Medea is drugging them with that pain-reducing antidote to christ themselves with it. The second word in the second line, "χρίεσθαι"
φαρμα^κ-άω , A.suffer from the effect of drugs or charms,D.46.16, Thphr.Fr.105, Plu.2.1016e, etc.
The acts of suffering the effects of a drug also means requiring a remedy. The ancient pharmacy is complex.
polypharmaceutical , or using a bunch of drugs to combine to make one drug that they can use to fight another drug. Except it's not fighting, it's balancing.
Rous
Ammon analyzes a spell to obtain a male lover in Coptic. This is an Egyptian text influenced by Greek culture, using Greek terminology. These are Christian and Jewish spells still using the Greek powerhouses that taught them how to perform magic by means of powerful utterances. "Rous, rous, rous"
Rous - the running you have from your body, your seed, your ejaculation

Spell 84: For a Man to Obtain a Male Lover [p.177-78]
Text: Ashmolean Museum 1981:940
Description: vellum, 8x10.5 cm, originally folded to 2.5x 1.3 cm (by the evidence of creases); perhaps 6th century
Bibliography: Paul C. Smither, "A Coptic Love Charm", Journal of Egyptian Archeology 25 (1939< 173-174
Translator: David Frankfurter
This text contains a same-sex love spell commissioned by one Papalo to "bind" another man, Phello (this name literally means "the old man" or "the monk"), by means of a variety of powerful utterances (especially ROUS). Besides extending the scope of erotic binding spells in late antiquity, this spell also employs formulae common to several Coptic texts of ritual power. The folds in the text and the description of the text's depositing (lines 6-7) imply that this spell was intended to be placed near the beloved man.

(ring signs)
+++ I adjure you by your powers and your amulets and
places where you dwell and your names, that just as I take you
a put you at the door and the pathway of Phello, son of Maure,
(so alos) you must take his heart and his mind; you must dominate
his entire body.
When he (tries to) stand, you must not allow him to stand
When he (tries to) sit, you must not allow him to sit
When he lies down to sleep, you must not allow him to sleep.
He must seek me from town to town, from city to city,
from field to filed, from region to region,
until he comes to me and subjects himself under my feet-
me, Papapolo son of Noe-
while his hand is full of all goodness,
until I satisfy with him the desire of my heart
and the demand of my soul,
with pleasant desire and love unending,
right now, right now, at once! Do my work
Notes:
The reference to "his hand full of all goodness" may be connected with the Hebrew use of "hand" for "penis".

From: Marvin Meyer and Richard Smith, eds., Ancient Christian Magic: Coptic texts of Ritual Power, (San Francisco: HarperSanFrancisco, 1994)
It's a Coptic text, Egyptian writing that has been influenced by a Greek culture. These are Christian and Jewish spells. Still using those Greek powerhouses that taught them to perform the magic.
Who are we invoking? "Yao Sabaoth" that's Jehovah.
Jehovah brings together gay lovers. This is a part of the magick. At the very least we know the Jewish society at the time fully embraced one person's desire for same sex relationship. The fact that it was magick (doesn't mean it was kept quiet, it) says that this process of performing these rites was saturated with spells and actions just like this. When we meet to perform magick, we know there are all sorts of spells, sex spells, etc.
Sources of Medicinal Terms Still Utilized In Byzantine Era
Here was the second verb we skipped: φαρμακώσαισ ̓
Basically, this is a section where Paul is talking about Adenoids and Tonsils, talking about how he is still actively involved in using the terms scattered in the new and old testament - using before the bible and after the bible.
Peruse this sometime:
theriacs and alexipharmaka, crazy species, poison, spiders, snakes, scorpions

Driven out of your Senses. There's a whole set of vocabulary that's influenced by medicine in antiquity. The common person in the street has no barrier of separation between these words in Greek that are highly charged medical words and any other use of them that's not medical. There is no separation.
When you say Christ, you are envisioning a drug that is stinging you to madness. There are many Christs, like Medea. Jesus Christ was performing actions that were contrary to tradition of the Orphic Mysteries. No one wants to go there, perform those acts.... That's hard to look at.
2.thorn,IG42(1).121.92 (Epid., iv B.C.), LXX Nu.33.55, al., Dsc.4.49, Babr.122; “σκόλοπεςφοίνικος” PMag.Osl.1.270, al., cf. 2 Ep.Cor.12.7. 3.an instrument for operating on the urethra, Heliod. ap. Orib.50.9.4. 4.point of a fishing-hook, Luc.Merc.Cond.3.
It's anything pointed. Two says thorns, "σκόλοπες φοίνικος" The thorn that takes you to the third heaven.
"the Phoenician purple thorn and you fly with god in love" Paul writes the intimacy level very clear. When you say Jehovah's name you are endorsing the love of the same sex.
If you had a 2nd-4th century rabbi practicing his magick, you're going to find Jehovah being invoked to grab hold of another rabbi and bring him in.
Source text:
"yet I am Cyprian the great magician who was the friend of the dragon of the abyss. He called me his son and I called him father. He placed his crown and his diadem on my head. I sucked milk at his right breast."
He gives milk.. - Remember Jesus with the bra? He gives milk.... see Jesus had Breasts
"he subjected to me every power of his"
This is the performance of Classical Religion. The sex is a part of the rite. (Ciprian is deep in the magic. He had serpent venom coming out his backside, he was in a graveyard with two prostitutes...)
"The person in the right ascends up to Pleiades, and they glided by under me like a ship. I learned the whispers of the stars (nothing more Orphic than that!), i took possession of the treasuries of the winds."
The oldest hymns in the mystery, the western mystery, the mystery of the Bronze Age that gave you Judaism and Christianity along with hundreds of other cults. What happened at the birth of that, they wrote hymns to the winds. Medea is famous for her hymns to the winds.
"I mastered the whole of astronomy. But all this did me no good, with a virgin named Justina."
What happens when you're obsessed with a virgin? You bewitch her, you drug her. You can give someone a drug that will cause them to be attracted to you. (How Bill Cosby-esque....).
You mean god is gay? Very much so. He's the one you go to
pray to him for war - he's mars
pray to him for fruit - he's priapus
pray to him for homosexual activity - he's jehova
This is what happens when you let monists control your education, you get fairytale land (bias, propaganda, reframing)...
"i have a lot to say about these visions and these apocalypses that I'm being given by God, the Lord."
ὀπτασίας (optasias) - hallucination, an appearance or vision of someone who is not actually there, only seen from the perspective of the one describing it.
Those revelations, The apocalypses, that Paul is going through, that is a prophetic marking of time, an oracular gift. He's getting hallucinations and comprehensions of time.
If you didn't realize yet, Paul likes the young kids. He likes to take them on missionary journeys. He's involved in everything regular, with those.
2 Corinthians 12:3
καὶ οἶδα τόν τοιοῦτον ἄνθρωπον —εἴτε ἐν σώματι εἴτε χωρίς του σώματος οὐκ οἶδα, ὁ Θεὸς οἶδεν,
Paul says, "I knew, I recognized this dude, I don't know if it was outside or inside my body, but it was God"
"I'm a man, and my χάρις (grace) is your antidote, my χάρις is your cure, the power is in your weakness. The power is in your catatonia. The power is in your total release. I'm going to take pride in my total state of weakness. The power of christing (Χριστοῦ) is making me crazy"
ἐπισκηνώσῃ - The christ is infiltrating my brain, my mind.
God's χάρις is enough for Paul. "Don't be dirty it's just grace". Well, if you've been reading this stuff all your life.... Watch what your sweat produces..
Your χάρις is what makes you aroused. Aphrodite is always accompanied by χάρις. Love drugs... We know what the thorn in the flesh does.
Modern parallel:
You look around and see hippies getting involved in the drugs, and the sex. You might say dirty hippies....
... but it looks like the hippies are Drawing on some kind of quantum reality between the drugs and the sex.
Is that why when you enter the rite and they put you into the death state with a state of arousal that they will force you into coming to climax while you're dying.? That must be quite a thing. No wonder they said "wish u had done that years ago". Some kind of revelation
Weakness
When you enter the rite and they put you into the death-state in a state of arousal, they'll force you to coming to climax while you're dying. The beast bears up that cup held by Lady Babylon.
When His love-magick is strong enough for Paul, Paul will be in a state of complete weakness and inability. You've never been to that third heaven until you've experienced that ἀσθένωσις.
What does it mean to be in that weekly state? It means to be παιδίον.
Unless you come to me “παιδίον" you have no place in the kingdom of heaven, you won't make it. The rite requires it.
That's why Jesus has to be the way he is. He has to hide what's going on, because these are all the Mystery rites of the initiates. These are those baptisms we hear about (sexual + purple dyes).
You can be in the state of weak-mindedness, a weakened soul, you have to enter into a position of death. If you don't have death (without death), you don't have resurrection (during this life)
Combine that asthenia, today's word in medicine my astheniagravis
Paul says hey this is how I got to that 3rd heaven. Ever question reality? That's part of the experience. Paul is suffering that same mental haze:
The Mental Fog - One rite that involves you and God, one-on-one, in a homosexual relationship, and thanks to that χάρις will take you all the way to that visionary third heaven.
(If you want to go there you have to do certain things. E.g. Cyprian will be caught in the cemetery with snake venom coming out of his butt. Certain sacrifices you have to make if you want that vision.)
Phineus the Prophet passage
[178] There Phineus, son of Agenor, had his home by the sea, Phineus who above all men endured most bitter woes because of the gift of prophecy which Leto's son had granted him aforetime. And he reverenced not a whit even Zeus himself, for he foretold unerringly [phineus is a drug using prophet, we're about to see him do his drug thing] to men his sacred will. [he exposed Zeus all the time] Wherefore Zeus sent upon him a lingering old age, and took from his eyes the pleasant light, and suffered him not to have joy of the dainties untold that the dwellers around ever brought to his house, when they came to enquire the will of heaven. [want to find out the future? Hang out with phineus and bring him some lovelies] [he had his light taken out of his eyes. this is common, this is the seer. the seers are always blind. The better their sight, the less their vision. The ones who are strongest in the vision are totally blind. Why? When you use the burning purple it blinds you. It's a sacrifice you make. In order to see the reality, you have to destroy your own eyes. If your eyes are full of light.... whackos!] But on a sudden, swooping through the clouds, the Harpies with their crooked beaks incessantly snatched the food away from his mouth and hands. And at times not a morsel of food was left, at others but a little, in order that he might live and be tormented. And they poured forth over all a loathsome stench; [when you mix the drugs with the foods you're taking, you lose the flavor of life. And he stuck. Why are the harpies doing this? The harpies are the women who rip the soul from your body. Never had a women rip the soul from your body? No vision for you. You don't need to worry about Zeus wanting to bash you for knowing the future] [we are with paul, hallucinating, visions of the apocalypse] and no one dared not merely to carry the food to his mouth but even to stand at a distance; so foully reeked the remnants of the meal. But straightway when he heard the voice and the tramp of the band he knew that they were the men passing by, at whose coming Zeus' oracle had declared to him that he should have joy of his food. And he rose from his couch, like a lifeless dream [same as Jesus in garden of gethsemenie, the attempt to move, stumbling, confused. This is how phineus is, it's how the prophets get], bowed over his staff, and crept to the door on his withered feet, feeling the walls; and as he moved, his limbs trembled for weakness and age; and his parched skin was caked with dirt, and naught but the skill held his bones together. And he came forth from the hall with wearied knees and sat on the threshold of the courtyard; and a dark stupor covered him, [what covers your prophets? A dark stupor]
This purple haze hid him in mental darkness, and when he walked it felt like the earth was moving around he laid down and entered into his coma. Seeing things, namely that third heaven.
This is what the person is, who is under the influence
karos καροσ - heavy sleep
purple haze - torpor
What is the anaudos that you become?
ἄναυδος, ον,
speechless, Od.5.456, 10.378, Hes.Th.797, etc.; silent, ά. άyyɛλoç, of dust, A.Th.82 (lyr.), etc.:-properly, unable to articulate, whereas άpwvoç is voiceless, Hp.Epid.3.17.ý, but of fishes, A.Pers.577; without speaking,
S.OC1274,1404, Plu.Pomp.74, etc. Adv. "-Swç" Hp. Prorrh.1.90, J.AJ16.11.4.
Somebody who can speak, but their articulations aren't proper. This guy is a junkie, he must be one of those christs. Paul is becoming a Christ... you didn't know there was a love affair between you and jehovah? But there is. This stuff is unspeakable. You know why paul says he can't speak about the unspeakable things that he learned? Because, Not everyone follows the mysteries.
Judaism / Christianity at its core is an attempt to cover up sexual unions blessed by "Yao Sabaoth" Vessels have to stay virgins because the flame goes out. You need to keep the poet in that state. Like lovers, keep them Never out of reach but close enough to be seen. To drive that poetry. Clever.
He showed a picture of a goat with a cross over its butt. Named Penelope.
What's Penelope? If you look at her cross. You'll imagine it's covering a multitude of your sins. And then you'll understand what the rite is all about. Praise Jesus. Hail Satan.
Unit 2
Groups who have gone through the intensive course and willing to help through some of the Greek things, should be done with Introduction and Unit 1. You can recognize basic words and work with nouns a little bit.
Over the next 2 weeks, read unit 2. Go to the vocabulary list. Exposing your brain to the Greek. Don't sit there and try, let it come natural. The Muse will embrace you.
Unit 2 is the first of a 2 unit section on verbs. What are verbs?
Verbs are words of actions or state of being.
We will learn the basic components of the verbs.
Verbs can be described by person, number, tense, mood, voice.
Don't think about it.
Person - first, second, third
Number - singular, plural
Tenses
present (i do)
imperfect (i was doing)
future (i will do)
aorist (i did)
perfect (i have done)
pluperfect (i had done)
mood - Right now, just indictive.
Voice - active voice, future, middle, passive
(There is no middle voice in English. It doesn't focus on the perspective of the speaker, but Greek often does)
Hansen & Quinn- seven tenses in the indicative mood:
The present tense describes an action in present time with progressive/re-peated aspect ("I am falling"; "I fall [habitually]").
The future tense describes an action in future time and can have either simple aspect ("I shall fall") or progressive/repeated aspect ("I shall be falling"; "I shall fall [habitually]").
The perfect tense, whose name comes from the Latin word for "completed," describes an action in present time and always has completed aspect ("I have fallen").
The pluperfect tense, whose name comes from the Latin expression for "more than completed," and which is also called the past perfect tense, describes an action in past time and always has completed aspect ("I had fallen"). The difference in time between the perfect tense and the pluperfect tense is emphasized by the adverbs in the following examples: "I have now fallen" (present time). "I had then fallen" (past time).
The future perfect tense describes an action in future time and always has completed aspect ("I shall have fallen"). This tense is rare in Greek and is not given in this text.
The imperfect tense , whose name comes from the Latin word for "un-completed," describes an action in past time and always has progressive/re-peated aspect ("I was falling"; "I used to fall," "I fell [habitually]").
The aorist tense describes an action in past time and always has simple aspect ("I fell"). It describes an event which happens once and for all.
Verbs Focus:
When we learn verbs we are going to understand how the verb is a machine and it can do many different things, all you have to do is change an ending or put something on the beginning. And we will take an action like kicking, and change it to yesterday, future, who was kicking, etc... everything with the verb is dialed by the ending called conjugation.
Conjugation
Conjugating our verbs, the verbs slide in and out if tenses- there's a mental image in your mind, we're painting with words.
Lastly, the exercises are there at the end of each unit. Attempt them. Next week, we will go over some of the exercises. If you can keep up with me, you're exactly where you're supposed to be.
We will be memorizing the tense endings of the verbs, starting next week.
